2017 Ford Raptor Suspension Specs

2017 Ford Raptor Suspension Specs

Not only is the all-new F-150 Raptor more powerful while being up to 500 pounds lighter than the previous F-150 Raptor, its breakthrough FOX Racing long-travel suspension adds more wheel travel and shock-absorbing capability to make crossing harsh terrain easier than ever.

The truck will use new 3.0-inch FOX shocks that give the truck 13 inches of overall suspension travel in front and 13.9 inches at the rear, an increase of nearly two inches compared to the previous Raptor. Along with the added travel, the new shocks add a base valve piston which allows for lower gas pressure, resulting in a comfier on-road ride according to Ford.

Thanks to the internal bypass design of the shocks, nine zones are offered, each with its own damping rate to allow for progressively managed forces. What that really means is that the new Raptor should offer more control and comfort both on and off road. It can't properly bottom out its new shocks either, as the final zone acts as a hydraulic bump stop.
