2021 Ford F-150 Raptor

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor

While we don't quite know if the Gen 3 Ford F-150 Raptor will be released late 2021 or sometime in 2022, we do know, thanks to leaked images, that prototypes do exist. In these leaked photos, visible changes and upgrades have been made/tested. There are a few highlight takeaways in comparison to the Gen 2 Raptor.

According to some insider sources, the Gen 3 F-150 Raptor will have TWO engine options:

  • Powerboost H.O. (high output) Twin Turbo V6 Hybrid
  • Limited Edition 5.2L supercharged V8 with over 700 horsepower (from 2020 Shelby GT500)

In this round of photos from a prominent Ford F-150 Blog/Forum, Ford decided not to install the suspension camouflage, leaving wandering eyes a perfect view of the new coil spring design.

As we can see, the leaf springs normally fitted on all F-150 Raptor's since its inception are soon to be a thing of the past. Beefy coil springs replace the Raptor's leaf springs, in an attempt to mirror the basic set-up installed to enemy number one-the Ram Rebel TRX.

Raptor's FORD Grille Treatment Returns

The third-generation Raptor may be getting a face-makeover as well; a toned-down grille with no bold FORD lettering. The most recent photos strongly suggest the very recognizable Raptor design will also mimic the huge RAM that graces the front end of the Raptor-fighting Ram Rebel TRX.

While it isn't much information, pieces here and there are starting to trickle in for the Gen 3 Raptor and we couldn't be more amped!

Stay tuned to Addictive Desert Designs as we'll have Gen 3 Ford Raptor parts and accessories available for purchase when the vehicle gets released!
