When preparing a truck for off-road exploration, one of the biggest challenges is keeping gear organized while maintaining enough open space for larger cargo. That’s where the truck bed molle panels from Addictive Desert Designs come into play. Designed specifically for off-roaders and overlanders, these panels transform unused vertical space inside your truck bed into a highly functional storage system.

Built from heavy-duty steel and finished with a durable hammer black powder coat, ADD’s molle panels are engineered to withstand harsh environments and heavy gear loads while maintaining a clean, factory-style appearance. Their molle pattern allows for a wide range of mounting options, letting drivers secure tools, recovery gear, and off-road equipment directly to the bed sides.
Turning Dead Space into Useful Storage
One of the biggest advantages of molle panels is their ability to utilize vertical space along the bed walls. Instead of piling gear on the bed floor, equipment can be mounted securely against the sides of the truck. This keeps the main cargo area open for larger items such as coolers, spare tires, camping equipment, or motorcycles.

ADD’s panels mount to multiple factory locations in the truck bed to ensure rigidity, even when driving across rough terrain. They also retain access to OEM tie-down points while providing additional mounting locations for straps, brackets, and molle-compatible accessories.
Because they are compatible with standard molle attachments, the panels can accommodate a wide range of gear including:
- Recovery tools like shovels and axes
- Traction boards
- Hi-lift jacks
- Fire extinguishers
- Air systems
- Tool bags and pouches
For off-roaders who regularly carry recovery gear, this type of organization can make a huge difference when seconds matter on the trail.
Real-World Expedition Setup
In our own off-road expeditions, these panels quickly became one of the most useful storage upgrades on the truck. Instead of leaving heavy gear loose in the bed, we mounted critical equipment directly to the panels.

A Power Tank air system is secured to one side of the bed, allowing easy access when airing tires up or down during trail runs. On the opposite side, a 5-gallon fuel jug is mounted using our molle-compatible aluminum jug holder. This setup keeps both items secure, easily accessible, and completely out of the way of other cargo.
By mounting these heavier items vertically, we maintain a clean bed floor that can still carry recovery boards, spare parts, spare wheels and tires, or camping gear without clutter.
Built to Handle Aggressive Driving
Of course, organization doesn’t mean much if the system can’t handle real off-road abuse. That’s why we’ve put these panels through plenty of testing during high-speed desert runs and off-road trips.
During Raptor runs across desert terrain, where trucks regularly encounter deep whoops, washboard roads, and sudden compression hits, the panels have proven extremely solid. Thanks to their multiple mounting points and steel construction, the panels stay rigid and quiet even when the truck is being pushed hard. We've run our bed molle panels on all of our Raptor Runs in Arizona and Texas with zero issue.

Despite repeated impacts and vibration from aggressive driving, mounted equipment stays securely in place; no rattling hardware and no shifting gear.
A Practical Upgrade for Any Off-Road Truck
For anyone building an off-road or overland truck, bed molle panels offer one of the most practical upgrades available. They improve organization, increase usable storage space, and keep essential gear accessible when it’s needed most.
The truck bed molle panels from Addictive Desert Designs take that concept even further with strong steel construction, clean fitment, and a design that integrates seamlessly into the truck bed.
Whether you're mounting recovery gear for technical trails, carrying air systems for tire management, or securing extra fuel for long desert runs, these panels provide a reliable foundation for building a functional off-road loadout.
