The TRX is Back

The TRX is Back

As many of you have heard, the RAM TRX is coming back as the SRT TRX for the 2027 model year and is expected to be available in the second half of this year. RAM is calling it “The Fastest Production Gas Off-Road Truck Ever” and their preliminary performance numbers definitely back that statement up.

Performance

The initial numbers released by RAM show the 2027 SRT TRX producing 777 horsepower and 680lb-ft of torque with a top speed of 118mph! Clearly, the Supercharged 6.2L Hemi V8 is one of the most powerful engines to ever be put in a truck, and the TRX is absolutely capable of utilizing it. RAM’s preliminary numbers put the truck at a 3.5 second 0-60mph and 12.2 second quarter mile.

Off-Road Capabilities

RAM continues to improve its off-road capability and comfort with this TRX including impressive suspension from the factory. The stock Bilstein shocks are able to continuously adapt to your speed and driving conditions, allowing you to have peak performance wherever you are.

In its continued quest to overtake the Raptor and Raptor R, the new TRX boasts 9 selectable drive modes: Sport, Snow, Mud/Sand, Rock, Baja, Custom, Tow, Auto, and Valet. While some of these modes will not likely be used much, it is notable that RAM really wants to position the SRT TRX above the Raptor R. Do you think it has what it takes to become the king of consumer performance trucks?

Our Goals for the 2027 TRX

The SRT TRX will be a top-priority platform for ADD as soon as they begin to become available. We will be conducting installations and scans to develop our products and confirm fitment, so stay tuned if you plan on ordering a SRT TRX. We will be making our catalog of products we produce for the earlier RAM 1500 TRX and current RHO to the SRT TRX as well.

This should be great news to our customers who held off on the RHO with rumors that the TRX would return. We are all very excited to see the newest edition of the TRX hit the market. Here’s what to expect from us for the SRT TRX:

Stealth Fighter Series Bumpers

Our Stealth Fighter front and rear bumpers have been staples of ADD for many years, offering an upgradeable front winch kit, high clearance, and versatile lighting options.

Phantom Series Bumpers

The Phantom front and rear bumpers are our popular high-clearance non-winch option for your truck. These bumpers offer an aggressive steel plate design inspired by desert racing, typically found only with tube bumpers.

Bomber Series Bumpers

With three front options to choose from, the Bomber front and rear bumpers are the bold choice for those that want the biggest and baddest looking truck in town. Choose your lighting preference for the custom cut center lighting, with options for 3 Baja Designs LP6 lights, 4 Rigid Industries 6” 360-Series, or dual 20” light bars.

Chase Racks & Bed Racks

If you are looking for that desert racer look, our Race Series and Stealth Fighter chase racks are the perfect option for the look, plus adding the ability to mount lights to the top of your truck.

If you’re looking more into a utility/overlanding build, our universal overland rack is an excellent option for mounting tools, gear, tents, and more while keeping your truck bed open for more gear.

Accessories

We will also be bringing over all the accessories that we can, and updating designs as needed for the SRT TRX. This includes our shock guards, ditch brackets, and bed molles as well as our interior device mount and center console panels.

We expect 2026 and 2027 will be big years for the RAM market, as we also have plans to revamp our standard RAM 1500 and RAM HD lineup. If you have suggestions for products you'd like to see, please let us know here!

Its to bad ram is always playing catch up 777 horse still isnt enough the 702 wasnt enough for the raptor r not only that where is the fun with the trx, who wants a truck thats awd not me I wanna go do donuts. One more thing the current raptor is still 720 horse but those with the money can have a dealer installed kit get a 3 year 36k mile warranty and have over 900 horse. Not only that Ford with let ram think they have it in the bag, but a pulley swap or tune and they have over rams 777 horse. With ford showing they are going to put the 7.3 godzilla motor in the f150s they could easily slap a supercharger on it and make crazy horsepower. I hope they all keep going with the horsepower wars, since 4 years ago everyone said everything would be electric by 2030 to me that would be a boring world.
